Bonnie V. Kirkland McMullen

June 5, 1928 - Nov. 8, 2006Services for Bonnie V. Kirkland McMullen, 78, of Diboll, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with the Rev. Walter Futch of Lufkin, the Rev. Roy Hall of Diboll and the Rev. Joe Sawyer of Huntington officiating. Interment followed in Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Mrs. McMullen was born June 5, 1928 and passed away peacefully at the home of her loving daughter, Bonita Kirkland Howell at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Her husband, Woodrow E. Kirkland and her son, Ray Sidney Kirkland, preceded her in death. She was a native of Warren, Texas, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Lufkin. She worked as a food service supervisor at Tyler County Hospital until retiring in 1991. She is survived in death by five daughters and sons-in-law, Bonita and Curtis Howell Sr. of Diboll, Margaret and Walter Pierson of Fred, Linda and J.D. Riley of Woodville, Virginia and the Rev. Joe Sawyer of Lufkin and Connie and Kenneth Harvill of Buffalo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Joan Kirkland of Diboll and Woody and Phyllis Kirkland of Diboll; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Nadia Philmon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. "Mom and Dad, just look what you accomplished! Seventy descendents and still our family is growing. You will be remembered and loved for generations to come. Heaven is getting sweeter every day. We'll see you later Mom." Riley Funeral Home, Woodville, directors, was in charge of arrangements.
