An Angelina County Grand Jury was presented a list of 41 cases by District Attorney Clyde Herrington as they met on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 with indictments returned on 37.
€ Robert Guevara, Lufkin, aggravated sexual assault of a child, sexual assault of a child, and indecency with a child. Guevara had been arrested in September for alleged continuous sexual abuse of a child for a number of years. Also, according to reports, Guevara had previously been convicted of sexual assault of a child in Galveston County.
If convicted of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony, a sentence could range from five to 99 years or life in prison.
