Rash of burglaries centered on Lynn Street in Diboll
Sometime between January 4 and January 11, perpetrator(s) entered a locked storage building located behind 1122 Lynn Street in Diboll.
According to Sgt. Steve Baker, criminal investigator for the Diboll Police Department, a red toll box and a grey toolbox with assorted hand tools was removed.
Also, on January 8, perpetrator(s) forced entry into an unoccupied residence at 1118 Lynn Street and committed several acts of criminal mischief. Several windows, mirrors, fixtures and other household items, valued at approximately $1,500, were damaged and on January 15, perpetrator(s) broke a window, valued at $150 at 1111 Lynn Street. All the above crimes were committed to structures on Lynn Street and believed to be the work of juveniles.
Baker said, “If you have any information about these crimes, you may call the Diboll Police Department at 829-5586 or Lufkin Crime Stoppers at 639-TIPS. If the information given leads to the arrest or grand jury indictment of the person or persons responsible, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
