CARL S. PEPPARD

Aug. 29, 1926 - Jan. 22, 2007

Memorial services for Carl S. Peppard were held Sunday, January 28, 2007 in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lamar Denby officiating.

Mr. Peppard was born August 29, 1926 in Lufkin, to Thelma and Carlos Peppard, and died Monday, January 22, 2007 in Lufkin. He graduated from Lufkin High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Peppard was of the Baptist faith and was a mason. He married Jeanne Agan on September 1, 1950 and the couple had three sons. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He retired from Lufkin Industries as a Trailer Division salesman in 1985. Following his retirement he was in real estate sales in San Antonio, where they lived for 20 years.

Survivors include his sons, Kim Peppard of Monrovia, California, Dr. Kent and Bridget Peppard of Irvine, California, and Randy Peppard of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Barbara Peppard of Huntington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. Bob and Helen Rhodes of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Nancy Agan Owen of Longview; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Sherra Agan of Crosby; sister-in-law, Kay C. Agan of Lufkin; and numerous nephews and special cousins.

Mr. Peppard was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne; and brother, Jack, who was from Nacogdoches

Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin, directors, was in charge of arrangements.
