Funeral services for Aaron Troy Stubblefield, 17, of Lufking will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Carpenter's Way Baptist Church with Brother Je Stringer and Brother Gene Hazell officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Aaron was born September 18, 1989 in Lufkin to Thomas Walter and Susan (Funderburk) Stubblefield, and died Sunday, January 28,m 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Aaron was a junior at Lufkin High School and was a member and Quartermaster of the Lufkin High School Panther Band where he played the tuba and baritone. He enjoyed playing guitar with his freinds and was a joy to his family. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents,Tom and Susan Stubblefield of Lufkin; sister, Trista Stubblefield of Houston; nephews, Noah Stubblefield and Lane Stubblefield, both of Houston; grandparents, Ray and Norma Funderburk and Earlene Stubblefield, all of Lufkin, aunts and uncles, Ann and Gary Griffin, Mike and Melanie Stubblefield, Linda and George Hamilton, Denise and Stephen Bennefield, Terry anMike Beathard and Barbara Stubblefield.
Pallbearers will be Dorey Stubblefield, Jacob Bennefield, Gary Clark, Chris Hamilton, Don Maddox, Lon Rhodes, Dr. James Saxton and Phil Clark.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Williams, Bill Butler, members of the Lufkin High School Panther Band and the Lufkin Band boosters.
