Funeral services for Joyce M. Cruseturner Foreman, 74, of Lufkin were held Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Herrington officiating. Interment followed in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Foreman was born January 25, 1933 in New London, Texas, to the late Beulah (Brooks) and Flavy Ball, and died Thursday, February 1, 2007 at her residence.
Mrs. Foreman had lived in Lufkin most of her life. She experienced the New London School disaster as a child, and was a 1957 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught school for 33 years, and retired from Huntington ISD after 26 years of teaching there.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kenny Thurman of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Angie Foreman of Huntington; grandchildren, Leigh Ann and Brian Reese and Lauren and Greg Nordstrom, all of Houston, Kendall Thurman of Lufkin and Kelsey and Karlee Foreman of Huntington; brother, J. D. Ball of Fort Bragg, California; and nephews, Jerry and Jeff Ball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim F. Foreman; and son, Max Dean Cruseturner.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Long, Dexter Lovett, Kendall Thurman, Greg Nordstrom, Brian Reese and Cody Turner.
