Graveside services for R. D. Nash, 80, of Bullard, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Apple Springs, Texas, with Reverend Donnie Howard officiating.
Mr. Nash was born March 19, 1926, in Trinity County, Texas, the son of the late Dessie (Jeffrey) and Rob Nash; and he died Friday, February 9, 2007, in a Tyler hospital.
Mr. Nash was a retired oil field contractor for Fisher Roustabout Company. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Nash was a member of Bassett Road Baptist Church, and a former resident of Palestine.
Survivors include his daughter, Connie Magee of Livingston; grandson, Paul Magee of Groveton; great grandchildren, Maegan Magee, Jason Magee and Kaylin Magee; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Claudia Nash of Huntsville; aunt, Mrs. Osie Lancaster of Burke; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Nash, in 2002.
Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home, directors, will be in charge of arrangements.
