Their only district loss came last Tuesday as they faced down a determined Huntington Devilette team. Lady Jacks Coach Laura Knight had quite a few words to say about the team's success, “I really hoped and thought that we would be successful this year. The girls have put themselves in a great position to make a run in the play-offs and this has been our goal all year.”
She went on to say, “We talk a lot about being a ‘team' and this is the time of year when teams win over individual players. “
“The Lady Jacks are excited and ready to make a run in the play-offs.We have two seniors who have really gotten us ready and such a great group of underclassmen.” said Knight, “They have worked hard and are ready to represent the district in the play-offs.”
Being her first year in Diboll Coach Knight could only say how much she enjoyed the chance to work in Diboll.
“ I love coaching in Diboll. Diboll is a great community and the school district is wonderful. Everyone has been very supportive. I have been amazed at the number of fans who have followed us and I hope they will continue to follow us in the play-offs. We would love to have that support on Friday in Fairfield. “
The Lady Jacks will face Lorena in Fairfield with the game starting a 7:30pm. Come out and show your support for the Lady Jacks.
