Lumberjacks host games in Hudson Coca-Cola Classic Tournament

It all began for Diboll on Thursday night when they played Japser in their first game of the Hudson Tournament.

Jasper vs. Diboll: Jasper won 10-1

Diboll lost 10-1 in the opener due to big plays by Jasper and some early mistakes by Diboll.

Pitching for Diboll : Kyle Prescott, Joey Solis, and Philip Hopkins. Combined they walked 9 batters, struck out 7, Jasper had 8 hits, scored 10 runs, and multiple errors.

Diboll had 6 hits and 3 walks and 1 run scored. Ryan Whitworth had a double, single, RBI; Ketaurus Stanton had a single, stolen base, scored run; Solis had a single; Alvaro Robles had a single; Nick Cortines had a single and a walk; Carlos Moreno had a walk; and Prescott had a walk and reached on an error.

Livingston vs. Diboll: Livingston won 7-2

Things continued to get bad for Diboll as they hosted the Livingston Lions for a noon game on Friday. The Lions gave a strong performance that the Lumberjacks couldn't over come.

Pitching for Diboll was Carlos Moreno for 4 2/3 with 4 strikeouts, 3 walks, 4 hits, and 4 runs scored and Joey Solis finished with 2 1/3 innings with 3 strikeouts, no walks, 4 hits, and 3 runs scored.

Diboll had 6 hits: Ketaurus Stanton had a double, single, 2 stolen bases, and 1 run; Kyle Prescott had 2 singles, RBI, and 1 run; Moreno had a single; and Cutler Ruby had a single and RBI.

Hemphill vs. Diboll: Diboll won 7-6

After suffering two losses previously in the tournament the Lumberjacks redeemed themselves on Friday night against the Hemphill Hornets with a bit 7-6 win.

Robert Cedillo pitched 2/3 of inning with 2 strikeouts, 2 walks, 2 hit batters, 2 hits, and 3 runs scored.

Cutler Ruby came in bottom of 1st and finished the game ending in 5th inning with 3 K's, 1 walk,

5 hits, and 3 runs scored.

Diboll had 7 hits: Carlos Moreno had a infield hit and scored in 1st and a 2-run Homerun in the bottom of the 4th; Aaron Rush had 2 doubles and 2 RBI's; Ketaurus Stanton had a double and stolen base; Chance Johnson had a double, walk, scored a run; Kyle Prescott had a single, stolen base, RBI, scored a run; Cutler Ruby had a sac. fly RBI and 2 walks; Nick Cortines had2 walks, stolen base, and 2 runs scored; and Joey Solis had a walk.
