Funeral services for Jimmy Lee “Santa Claus” Pace, 43, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Glenn Washburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery. Mr. Pace was born October 28, 1964 in Jasper, to Fay (Stephenson) and Wesley P. Pace, Jr., and died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in a local hospital.
Mr. Pace had lived in Lufkin most of his life. He was a member of Clawson Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Sheila M. Pace of Lufkin; son, Wesley Pace of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, William and Brandy McClure of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Anthony Cunningham of Lufkin; father and mother, Wesley and Fay Pace of Etoile; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Tracy Pace of Etoile; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise “Sissie” and Dewey Crager of Lufkin and Ginger and Terry Wesley of Etoile; nephews and wives, Scott and Rocky Pace of San Augustine and Robert and Cindy Conner of Pollok; nephews, Terry Dale Wesley and Tom Wesley, both of Etoile and Eddie Martin, Jr. of Huntington; niece and husband, Mandy and Jeremy Norton of Lufkin; nieces, Amber Bell, Heather Bell and Tina Bell, all of Etoile, Kristie Martin of Huntington, Angie Conner of Pollok and Shelby Colbert of Kennard; and a number of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Chris Westmoreland; brother-in-law, Don Ray Mayo; and father, Raymond “Buck” Umfrid.
Pallbearers were Anthony Cunningham, Buddy Pace, William McClure, Terry Wesley, Larry Mayo, Dewey Crager, Scott Pace and Elvin Bryant.
Honorary pallbearers were Colby DeJean, Jeremy Norton and Robert Lee Conner, Jr.
Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin, was in charge of arrangements.
