Ms. Ida Benjamin passed away on March 10, 2007 at 2:15 a.m. in Corrigan.
Ms. Benjamin was the widow of the late Charlie Benjamin and mother of seven children, Brenda (James), Florence (Claybon), Charlotte, Linda and Bruce. Kenneth, James and her husband preceded her in death.
Ms. Benjamin attended W.W. Johnson High and at the age of 16 was salutatorian of her class. Ms. Benjamin attended Mary Allen College in Crockett majoring in English. She was a member of Faith Temple Evangelistic Center in Corrigan where Dr. L.R. Freeman is the pastor.
Services for Ms. Benjamin were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Faith Temple Evanglistic Center, 813 Martin King Drive, Corrigan.
Paradise Funeral Home, Houston, directors, was in charge of arrangements.
