Free day Saturday at county landfill

Residents of Angelina County will have a free day at the landfill on Saturday, March 31 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.

During that time, any county resident may bring their household garbage to the landfill and dispose of it free of charge.

Please note that items such as whole tires, batteries, paint, oil or any hazardous material will not be accepted.

You are reminded that every load of waste, trash or garbage must be tarped or properly covered or you will be charged a tarp fee.

The Angelina County landfill is located approximately 5 miles south of Loop 287 on Farm Road 58.
