Funeral services for Mr. Frank Mitchell Jr. were Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, in Diboll with Rev. James E. Hennington, pastor; Rev. Charles Walls; and Rev. Ronnie Coleman officiating. Interment followed in the New Oak Wood Cemetery in Terrell, Texas.
Mr. Mitchell was born Jan. 26, 1938, in Mineola, Texas, and died March 17, 2007, in Lufkin, Texas. He was a resident of Nigton, Texas, and a graduate of Burnett High School Class of 1956, Terrell, Texas. Mr. Mitchell served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from the Diboll Independent School District. Survivors: wife, Alice Marie Mark-Mitchell; daughters, Slyvia (Charles V. Berkeley III) Mitchell, Tanya (Delanger Ray Foreman Sr.); sons, Frank Mitchell III, Anthony P. Mitchell, Marcus K. and Patrina R. Mitchell; mother, Annie Margaret Mitchell; grandchildren, Antionette A. Hawkinds, Courtney Foreman, Daeja Mitchell, James A. Bellamy II, Delanger (Ray Ray) Foreman Jr. and Nia Faith Mitchell; brother, Nathaniel (Carolyn) Mitchell of Lynwood, Calif.; sisters, Margaret and Porter Wyatt Sr. of Hesperia, Calif., and Mae E. and Lawrence Johnson of Victorville, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews anda other relatives and friends.
