Crockett stops 'Jacks seventh inning rally; Bulldogs finish off Diboll in eight, 12-9

Despite the seventh inning comeback by the 'Jacks, which sent the game into extra innings, Crockett scored four runs in the eighth to take the win 12-9.
After a seesaw battle through seven innings, the Diboll Lumberjacks trailed the Crockett Bulldogs going into the bottom of the inning, but with two out, Diboll sent the game into extra innings by scoring two runs to tie the score at 8-all
Diboll scored three runs in the first inning for a 3-0 lead before Crockett came back with one run in the second and four more in the third. Diboll tied the game at 5-5 with two runs crossing the plate in the bottom of the third, and both teams scored one run in the fourth for a 6-6 score. Crockett went ahead 8-6 with two runs in the sixth, but the Diboll squad was able to come back with a pair of scores.
Crockett scored four runs in the top of the eighth before being stopped and Diboll could only add one more score in the 12-9 loss.
Crockett sent three pitchers to the mound during Wednesday's game at the Pop Jordan Field in Diboll with Taylor Burrow getting the win. Carlos Moreno, Kyle Prescott and Joey Solis all saw action from the mound, but Moreno took the loss for the 'Jacks
Diboll pounded out 12 hits in the game, led by Chance Johnson and Ketaraus Stanton, each posting two-run homers and a single. Prescott added an RBI-double and a single for the Jacks, Moreno had two singles, Cutler Ruby and Nick Cortines had a single and an RBI each, Solis and Faustino Salaiz each had a single, and Robert Cedillo had an RBI.
