Historical Commission to meet in Diboll; history of Free Press is topic

The Angelina County Historical Commission will set up shop in Diboll for its April 2007 quarterly meeting. The featured topic will be The History of the Diboll Free Press delivered by a panel who knew and loved Paul Durham, including Ruth Mullins, Betty Jo (Jones) Jared, Carol Gartman, Bobby Chandler, and Paul's son Bruce Durham. Paul's longtime friend and historian Bob Bowman will serve as moderator of the panel discussion.

The meeting begins at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 with a short business meeting followed by the panelists' presentation. The Commission will hold it at the History Center on 102 N.
