Diboll High School representatives accepting Wal-Mart donation
Area schools receive $500 to provide safe, enjoyable celebrations
The Wal-mart store in Lufkin presented seven area high schools a check for $500 each for their upcoming graduation celebrations. Maria Lopez, manager of the Lufkin Wal-Mart, joined by assistant Patty Caldwell and Kari Weatherly, presented the checks to the school representative. Each of the area schools sent a sponsor and some of the seniors to accept the donation.
Accepting on behalf of Diboll High School was, Rebecca Herchman, Project Graduation 2007 sponsor along with graduating seniors Alyssa Tamez, Carlos Moreno, Kylan Herchman, Philip Hopkins and Arthur Meza. Accepting on behalf of Huntington High School were seniors Caitlyn Albritton, Ricky Herrod, Hallie Collier and Ariana Denby.
Accepting for Lufkin High School were Jeremy Lampkin, Liz Roberts and Kyle King.
There to accept for Central High were Paula Fugate, sponsor, Hunter Fugate, Justin Williams, Bryana Byrd and Trent Crawford, all seniors.
Accepting for Apple Springs High were Gregg Spivey, sponsor and seniors Scott Scogin, Tiffany Pyle, Brandon Burke, Lily Scogin and Brian Whited.
Accepting for Zavalla High School was Ricky Oliver, senior sponsor, Pam Williamson, Ashley Burch, Alexis Duncan and Bryan Oliver, all are seniors, and accepting for Hudson High School were Angela Adams and Becky Anderson.
