MAE SAWYER

Sept. 17, 1921 - April 1, 2007

Mae Elizabeth Hensarling Sawyer, 85, formerly of Woodville, Texas went to her heavenly reward with the Lord on April 1, 2007 at the Ware Presbyterian Home in Oxford, PA.

Born September 17,1921 in Woodville, Texas to Hiram Chester and Adeline Elizabeth Addison Hensarsing, she was a seamstress, cafeteria worker in the Woodville School District, devoted mother and homemaker.

Mrs. Sawyer lived in Diboll, Texas from 1999 to 2006 before moving to Pennsylvania in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Wayne Sawyer, and son Robert Wayne Sawyer; brothers, John Hensarling of WoodvilIe, Kimmie Hensarling of Rockland, Delbert Hensarling of Woodville, Clarence Hensarling of Beaumont and sister, Lennie Nell Hensarling Mahaffey of Chester.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Jean Sawyer Nettles and husband Joe Curtis Nettles of Diboll and Peggy Sue Sawyer Terry and husband Billy Jack Terry of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Ladonna Nettles Garza of Diboll, Greg Curtis Nettles of Diboll, and Jerry DeWayne Terry of Wylie; a sister, Nina Hensarling Letney of Zavalla and brother, A.C. Hensarling of Splendora; two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Camp Ground Cemetery on State Highway 256 west of Woodville, Texas. Brother C.G. Grigg, retired pastor of the First Baptist Church of Diboll, officiated.

Services were conducted under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Woodville.
