Behind the arm of Amanda Jordan who allowed only six hits and had four strike outs, the Diboll junior varsity softball team defeated the Lady Roughriders by a score of 7-6.
In the game, Liz Castillo had a stolen base and scored a run while Kayla Martel laid down a single, had a stolen base and scored a run. Angela Williams crossed the plate twice and had an RBI; Emily Ives had two stolen bases. At the plate, Jordan hit a double, drove in two runs and scored once. Dominque West added a stolen base; Caycee Carroll added a double, scored a run and had two RBIs and Lauran Dubose added a stolen base and scored a run.
It took eight innings for the varsity Lady Roughriders to overtake the Lady 'Jacks by a score of 4-3 despite the heavy hitting of Diboll
Hope Lakey led the Diboll squad with two doubles and scored a run while Chelsea Waters laid down two singles and scored one. Jasmine Lewis connected for a single as did Monica Mettlen and Rachael Coleman. Danae Lakey drove in two RBIs, Izuki Moreno also had an RBI and Vanessa Jones had two stolen bases. Natalie DeJesus added a double to the mix.
Tracey Morado was on the mound for the Lady 'Jacks allowing only four hits, and had five strike outs during the game.
