ACRAC to hold two intake days for Diboll and Burke residents
Citizens, the money is finally here!
According to Jerry Spann, Chairman of Angelina County Recovery Action Committee (ACRAC), applications will be taken twice in April to help homeowners affected by Hurricane Rita who have "fallen in the cracks,"
Spann said, "It's hard to believe it has been 18 months since Hurricane Rita but, there are many who are still recovering from the affects of the 2005 Hurricane that hit East Texas."
The Intake Days will be held on April 23 and 30 at the T.L.L. Temple Memorial Library, Diboll from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. "We are ready to make repairs for anyone who applies and has had substantial or complete loss or damage to their primary residence due to Hurricane Rita," said Linda Haskins, ACRAC Executive Director.
Those who apply need to bring the following:
€ Proof of identify
€ Proof of home ownership (property tax receipts or deed)
Since a portion of the funds for repairs have come from local Diboll organizations, Diboll Clean Sweep and Temple Inland Committee, ACRAC will begin with residences in Diboll and Burke. ACRAC will hold other Intake Days in other areas of Angelina County beginning in May 2007.
