John Nelson Weaver, age 58, of Dallas, Texas passed away April 11, 2007 in Dallas, Texas. He was born January 7, 1949, in Beaumont, to Doyle Marshall and Pauline Violet (Anderson) Weaver. John spent his entire working career in the banking industry, beginning with First Bank & Trust in Lufkin in 1969. He served in positions in Groveton, Lufkin and Dallas, before finishing his career as Senior Vice President and head of the Operations Department with Comerica from 1993 to 2007. He always worked "Bank Night", the banking industry's American Heart Association fund raiser.
John is survived by his son, Brad Weaver of Zavalla; grandchildren, Jessica Shird and Rebecca Powelle, both of Zavalla; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Robert Nielsen of Montgomery and Bettie and Harold Scroggins of Lufkin; and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father in 1994; and his mother in 2004. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Scroggins, Harold Scroggins, Richard Scroggins, Kenneth Weaver, Dennie Keene and Red Caldwell.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin.
