Diboll loses to Huntington 15-0 in final home game of the season

Lady 'Jacks to end season Friday

Casey Arriola's bat was hot driving in four runs with a triple, a double and a single to lead the Lady Hornet to a comeback 12-11 win over the Lady"Jacks from Diboll in Friday night action.

Even though Diboll took a commanding 9-1 lead by the fourth inning, the ladies from Hudson took charge of the bottom of the fourth by scoring six runs and coming back with five more in the fifth.

Diboll added two more runs in the fifth and sixth, but Hudson held on to finish one run ahead.

For the Lady 'Jacks, Amanda Jordan ripped two singles and Izukie Morena, Hope Lakey and Monica Mettlen all had doubles. Rachel Coleman, Jasmine Lewis, Natalie DeJesus, Tracey Morado and Danae Lakey all added singles to the cause. Hudson fell behind 7-1 as Diboll continued to hit Hudson starting pitcher Casey Arriola over the first 1 2/3 innings

Taking the win on the mound was Krista Holder, the Lady Hornet reliever.

Morado took the loss for Diboll.

The Lady'Jacks wound up their season at home with a 15-0 loss to the Devilette's from Huntington and will travel to Crockett on Friday to close out the softball year.

Die-hard softball fans braved the chilly winds that blew across the Diboll area Saturday and saw Huntington up their season record to 25-1.

Tracey Morado, was on the mound for Diboll for three-plus innings, was relieved by Amanda Jordan, but not before the pair gave up 15 runs had crossed the plate for Huntington.

Liz Castillo had the only hit for Diboll, a single up the middle, but the Lady 'Jack bats were as cold as the weather and couldn't get anything going.

The JV teams squared off prior to the varsity game with Huntington taking a 2-1 win over Diboll.
