Hours and hours of hard work and dedication by members of the Project Graduation 2007 group, was evident in the first- ever-womanless beauty pageant, which featured the talents and loveliness of 10 macho Diboll High School senior boys as they vied for the title "Miss Prissy Jack 2007".
Each candidate, dressed in their finest, competed in many categories such as evening gown, talent and personal interviews.
They were escorted during the evening by their senior sponsor (girls), dressed appropriately in their dapper eveningwear.
Kylan, far right, back row, who captured the eye of the judges, performed a dance routine to the music, "Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls, which provided a very steamy performance for the audience. He was awarded not only the title, but also a crown and roses
Members of the senior class and the Project Graduation committee, wish to thank Coach and Mrs. Gary Martel for their guidance and support; to the judges, Delana Webb, and especially the business sponsors who made the event possible.
These funds raised, along with monies raised from other fund raising projects will ensure the seniors of an all-night, alcohol and drug free celebration for the graduating class.
Graduates often 'party hop' in their efforts to celebrate with as many of their classmates as possible, but Project Graduation provides a safe alternative to party hopping: it keeps all of the graduates off of the roads, prevents any of them from becoming an accident static and allows their parents to rest easy knowing their son or daughter is safely.
