Postal rates going up again on May 14, 2007

It seems like only yesterday that the U. S. Postal Service asked for 39 cents to send a first class piece of mail, now it's soon going to time to start breaking the piggy banks and find another two cents to do the same thing. If you have any 39 cent stamps, be sure to use them up as quickly as possible because postage rates will be increasing from 39 to 41 cents on May 14th.

Of course, you can still use your 39-cent stamps after May 14th, but, you will need to add additional postage. The post office will probably have plenty of one-cent stamps though.

This priceof 41 cents is for a one-ounce letter going by first class mail, other types of packages will be affected differently, so, after May 14th, be sure to check on the appropriate rate for your packages at your area post office.
