Robert M. "Bob" Tillman III, 52, of Lufkin died Saturday, April 21, 2007 in a local hospital. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1954, Bob spent his early childhood living with his family abroad. In high school he became interested in music and learned to play the violin, trumpet, drums and guitar.
Bob is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Robin and Roger Mercer of Lufkin and Darlene and Bill Griggs of Montclair, New Jersey; nieces, Lisa Griggs of Montclair, New Jersey and Laura Griggs-Yew of Petaluma, California; and nephew, R. Taylor Mercer of Lufkin. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin, directors was in charge of arrangements.
