The Diboll Garden Club met on May 22 at the home of Conni Estes where the club enjoyed a good meal of bbq and all the trimmings.
Hostesses for the meeting were Sandra Pouland and JoAnn Rainwater.
Gail Beene installed the officers for the coming year. Her theme for the installation was western and all members were dressed in their western wear.
Installed were Ginger Capps, President; Dolly Whitaker and JoAnn Rainwater, Vice-Presidents; Billie Willmon, Secretary; and Sue Beaty, Treasurer.
Members present were Sue Beaty, Clara Breazeale, Ginger Capps, Joyce Carr, Connie Courtney, Louise McKinney, Billie Oates, Sandra Pouland, JoAnn Rainwater, Billie Robison, Frances Rodriguez, Susan Schinke, Chubby Slack, Nancy Sloan and Edythe Weeks.
Also present were Billie Willmon, Mozelle Deveraux, Oneta Hendrick, Sophie Lenderman, Nan Miller, Gloria Neal, Aline Stovall. The club also welcomed new member Vernell Havard and guest Conni Estes.
