It's a grand ole' flag and Main Street Lufkin will be flying the colors high Thursday, June 14 as we once again celebrate National Flag Day.
The 28th annual Flag Day celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the atrium of Lufkin City Hall. The brief observance will include the reading of the official proclamation by May Jack Gorden, patriotic music and more. Promptly at 6 p.m., the county's patriotic citizens will join Americans across the nation, as those gathered will recite the Pledge of Allegiance as part of the national Pause for the Pledge.
Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
