James ěRebaî Reeves, 62, of Lufkin, was born September 15, 1944, in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Edith (Tindall) and Clyde Reeves. He passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at his residence.
Graveside services for Mr. Reeves were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007, in the Enon Cemetery, with Rev. Billy Jackson officiating.
Mr. Reeves was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked as a salesman with several car dealerships. Mr. Reeves loved drag-racing, and was instrumental in the start-up of Pine Valley Raceway. He enjoyed sports and fishing. Mr. Reeves was a very happy person ó he loved life, his family and friends. He served his country in the United States Navy for 3 years.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Jeanine Reeves of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Chanda and Steve Reavis of Lufkin and LaShon and Robert May of Wortham; son and daughter-in-law, Kendall and Sarah Jones of Wisconsin; daughter, Tyra Reeves of Irving; granddaughters, Cortni Reavis, Ariel Jones and Chasity Jones; grandsons, Brandon Reavis, Ryan Reeves and Ian May; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Pat Howton of Lufkin; nephew, Mark Talley of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Honorary pallbearers were Clifton Hutto, Ken Barfield, Marion Brown, Tony Brown, David Lamon, Tommy Woods, Pete Crawford and Grant Knight.
