Jack Allen, 76, of Lufkin, was born October 7, 1930, in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Dorothy Fae (Thomas) and James Byron Allen. He passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.
Graveside services for Mr. Allen will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2007, in the Walker Cemetery, with Reverend Ty Phillips officiating.
Mr. Allen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was retired from Lufkin Industries, following 30 years of employment as supervisor in assembly and shipping.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, James Ray and Sandra Allen of Lufkin; sons, Marty Allen and Billy Jack Allen, both of Lufkin; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Allen of Lufkin; grandchildren, Beverly Harvey, Kevin Allen, Michelle Allen, Tony Carrico, Andrea Kuykendall, Jennifer Evans, Eric Allen, Micheal Allen, Austin Allen and Fielding Allen; a number of great-grandchildren; brother, Billy C. Allen; and sisters, Betty Rice and Linda Walker. In addition to his parents, Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Marie Hendry Allen; daughter, Debra Kay Allen Barnes; and brother, Elbert Allen.
Pallbearers will be Greg Kuykendall, Dean Wells, Wayne Rice, David Keith Allen, Riley Dean O'Quinn and Ricky Evans.
Honorary pallbearers wwill be Bart Allen, John Riley O'Quinn and Ben O'Quinn.
