Accident claims life of Diboll resident

Reverend Cai Ole Miltersen Larsen, 34, of Diboll, was killed at his home near Burke last Wednesday morning when the top of a dead oak tree he was working to remove broke and fell to the ground striking him.

According to a report in the Lufkin Daily News, Rev. Larsen had already cut down one tree and was working on the next when the accident occurred. According to the report, Lt. Jimmy York, of the Angelina County Sheriff's office, said that Larsen's death was 'purely accidental'. Justice of the Peace Ester Crager Barger arrived at the scene shortly before noon to pronounce Larsen dead.

Rev. Larsen, a native of Denmark, was serving as Dean of Christian Education at Texas Bible College and was also the Director of the Children's Ministry at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Lufkin.
