Graveside services for Allie Lanier Watkins, 82, of Lufkin and formerly of Memphis, Tenn., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, in the Covington Memorial Gardens in Covington, Tenn., with Rev. Michael Berkley officiating.
Ms. Watkins was born May 9, 1925, in Burlison, Tenn., and died June 15, 2007, in Lufkin.
She had a long career of executive administrative and secretarial jobs. In addition to her family, she loved fishing and yearly trips to Branson, Mo.
Survivors include her husband, John R. Watkins of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Selena Watkins of Lufkin; grandson, Wade Watkins of Arlington; granddaughter, Wendy Carter of Red Oak; great-grandsons, Slade and Collin Carter of Red Oak. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lavada Kirby.
