In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jesus F. Martinez, and her sister, Angelita Martinez.

Esperanza was a beloved mother and a wonderful grandmother, "Mam Pera," whose life revolved around her children and grandchildren. Family was everything to her and came first above all else. Babysitting her grandchildren was her greatest joy. She found contentment in caring for others, and never met a stranger.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Ignacio Morales, Jr., of Diboll. She is also survived by her daughters and their husbands, Martha M. and Hector Hernandez, Hilda M. and Pete Negrete, Jr., Estela M. and Raul Alvarez, Jr., and Teresa M. and Eugene Sandoval; grandchildren, Elsi Hernandez, Ivan Hernandez, AnnaPaola Negrete, Angeli Sandoval, Raul Alvarez, III., Carolina Negrete, Adan Hernandez, Mia Sandoval, Sofie Negrete and Galilea M. Alvarez; sisters and their husbands, Cecilia and Fernando Hernandez, Maria De Los Angeles and Felix Veliz, Elida and Jorge Moreno, Ana and Sergio Estrada, Adela and Carlos DeLa Fuente, and Blanca and Juan Hernandez; brothers, Santiago A. Martinez, Jose Maria Martinez, Pedro O. Martinez, and Olegario Martinez and wife, Esperanza; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

While her beautiful face and smile will be greatly missed, as Christians we believe she is completely healed and has joined God in all of His Splendor.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Diboll. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
