Funeral services for Donnie Eugene Carroll, 52, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Rev. Marlow Shubert and Rev. Grady Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll was born August 5, 1954 in Baytown, TX. to the late Bonnie (Miller) and Travis Art Carroll and died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Mr. Carroll lived in Huntington for most of his life. He was a maintenance supervisor for Angelina County. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening with his wife's family. Mr. Carroll was a member of Huntington New Life United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jill (Womack) Carroll of Huntington; sons, Samuel Olin Carroll and Peyton Parks Carroll, both of Huntington; special nephew and wife, Luke Wade and Tonya Womack of Huntington; sister, Deborah Smith of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Sandy Carroll of Jasper; step-brother, Douglas Walton of Huntington; step-sister, Jeannie Bryant of Baytown; along with a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Travis Art Carroll; mother and step-father, Bonnie (Miller) and Roy B. Walton and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jake and Ruth Womack. Pallbearers will be Mike Henson, Bill Agnew, Joe Landers, Luke Womack, Kenneth Timmons and Lynn Khiel. Honorary pallbearers will be Ivy Collins, Nathan Mulholland, Troy Carroll, Travis Carroll, Ricky Greenwood and Dwayne Greenwood.
