Reggie Modisette, 66, of Lufkin, was born February 5, 1941, in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Clara Dora (Allen) and James Alvie Modisette. He passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007, in a local hospital.
He worked in the maintenance department of American Color Graphics. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed primitive style bow making. He loved to paint and was a very artistic person. Mr. Modisette loved his family and was very proud of his grandchildren. He attended Clawson Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Marie Modisette of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Rene Modisette and Michael McMullen of Lufkin; grandchildren, Arik Modisette and wife Brittney, Shanda Nichols and husband Pat, Zach Bentley and Caleb Bentley, all of Lufkin; great grandson, Isaac Nichols; special friends, Bennie Fowler and Terry Young; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Thomas Ray Ainsworth of Lufkin; brother, Royce Modisette of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mr. Modisette was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda J. Modisette; sister, Robbie Nell Mann; and brother, Darwin Modisette. Pallbearers will be Dwight Modisette, Justin Modisette, Roy Lee Modisette, Gary Modisette, Tommy Ainsworth, Brady Hayes, Terry Sanchez and Terry Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Kent Fowler, Frank Harris, Charlie Unsell, Lane Adams and Allen McDaniels.
Services for Mr. Modisette were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bud Davis officiating with a eulogy offered by Terry Young.
