Annual Golf Tournament to be held at Neches Pines

Proceeds to benefit boys and girls athletics

The Neches Pines Golf Course in Diboll will be the place to be on July 21 for a Kickoff Classic Golf Tournament sponsored by the Diboll Athletic Department.

A shotgun start will set the days activities into motion for the 4-man teams with first, second and third place prize money waiting for the winners.

First place winners will receive $400 plus a $25 pro shop gift certificate; second place receives $200 plus a $25 pro shop gift certificate and $100 plus $25 certificate will be awarded for third place.

There will be several other prize-winning events at the 3rd, 9th, 17 and 18 holes. The long drive hole with a $25 prize is number 9; another $25 will be awarded for closest to the hole on 3 and 17.

Refreshments will be provided on the course.

Entry fee will be $50 per participant - $40 for senior citizens.

Mulligans are 2 for $10. You may signup on Saturday prior to the 1:30 start, so grab some partners and plan to participate in this worthwhile event.
