Services for Lana Maxine Fontenot, 74, of Zavalla will be held Friday, July 20, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery. Mrs. Fontenot was born Feb. 13, 1933, in the Concord Community, Angelina County, and died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, in a local hospital. She worked as an x-ray technician for Dr. Kuhlman in Port Arthur for 28 years. Survivors: step-son, Donavan Fontenot of Port Arthur; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brady M. and Bernice Jones, Jim Jones, Alton and Glenda Jones, Ray and Pam Jones and Roy Gene Jones, all of Zavalla; two sisters, Adell Smith of Diboll, Christene Carson of Lufkin. Mrs. Fontenot was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Fontenot; mother and father, Burton and Murtie Jones; sister, Oleta Wise; brother, Jack Jones.
