Graveside services for Bobby Joe Oberlechner, Sr., 68, of Lufkin, formerly of Nacogdoches, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007, in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Dock Lazarine officiating.
Mr. Oberlechner was born November 30, 1938 in San Angelo and died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at his residence.
Mr. Oberlechner was a veteran having served in the Air Force at the end of the Korean War. He was a Master Electrician and owned Arrow Electric in Nacogdoches for 20 plus years and most recently had served as a constable for Athens.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Matthew, Gilbert of Lufkin, Kara and David Alexander of Conroe and, Tanya and Mike Oliver of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Margaret Oberlechner Jr., of Diboll; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Peggy Oberlechner of Gun Barrel City; sisters, Willie Mae Forsman and Doris Chacker, bolth of Oklahoma; half-sister, Janice Oberlechner of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey Griffin and Joe Oberlechner.
