Services for Joyce Nell Schoubroek Teal, 60, of Lufkin, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2007, in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Elton Musick officiating with interment following in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.
Joyce was born January 31, 1947, in Angelina County, Texas, the daughter of the late Othie Mae (Arnold) and Charles Schoubroek. She passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in a local hospice facility.
Joyce was a devoted mother and grandmother, and had worked as a meat cutter for Rice Food Market. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Mark Hill of Pollok; sons and daughters-in-law, Darren and Jackie Musick of Zavalla and Joe and Jo Ellen Musick of Pollok; special friend and companion, Ken Neal; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Tommy Schoubroek of Lufkin; and sister, Wanda Jean Heard of Kansas.
Pallbearers were John Watkins, Waylon Terry, Theodore Perez, Ervin Callaway, Joe Lilnthicum and James Dunn. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Lewis, Little Jim, Manuel Basham, James Tarber and Gary Yearby.
