Services for Ather Mae Duitch Thrailkill, 85, of Wells, were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2007, in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Clayton McClendon officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Thrailkill was born May 8, 1922, in Cherokee County, Texas, the daughter of the late Dell (Summers) and Jim White. She passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in a Wells nursing home.
Mrs. Thrailkill was a homemaker, and a loving and devoted wife and aunt. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Wells. Survivors include her nephews and nieces, and their spouses: Roger and Wilma Williams of Lufkin, Henry and Jean Williams of Lufkin, C.W. and Barbara Williams of Wells, Jerry and Carol Williams of Pollok, Billy J. White of Lufkin, Roy L. and Laura White of Wells, Ray A. White of Tyler, Donald and Debbie White of Alto, Ethel and Aubrey Lormand of Buna, Mary Grant of Centerville, Joyce and Charles Carnline of Wells, Dorothy and Wayne Edwards of Keller, Judith and Mureal Williams of Wells and Patsy McMullen of Tyler; special friends, Reverend Clayton and Mary McClendon of Lufkin; step-daughter, Louise Ross of Lufkin.
Her husbands, 2 brothers and 1 sister preceded Mrs. Thrailkill in death.
