David Austin Bain Jr., 73, died Aug. 2, 2007, in Conroe, Texas, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Bain was born July 27, 1934, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Mr. David Austin Bain Sr. and Mrs. Prudie Lee Bain. Mr. Bain served in the U.S. Air Force as a military policeman during the Korean War where was stationed in Paris, France. He then graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was employed with General Electric in Roanoke, Va., and then worked for many years for Powell Electrical Manufacturing Company in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly K. Bain; sister, Delores Dickson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Donald Bain of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; daughter, Ingrid and son-in-law Joe Lee of Lovelady, Texas; daughter, Kimberly and son-in-law Paul Wright of Lufkin, Texas; and daughter, Greta Bain and Scott Curry of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Robert, Kristie, Nathan, Sarah, Hannah, Samuel, Curtis, Zachary and Jade Lee of Lovelady; Austin and Tyler Wright of Lufkin; Benjamin David Bain, Britney, Karen and Lexi of Lufkin, Texas; great-granddaughter, Isabella Wright of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and other relatives.
Graveside services were held in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
