Lola Bell Parrish, 82, of Diboll, was born March 13, 1925, in Shelby County, Texas, the daughter of the late Lona (Wilkerson) and Clem Rains. She passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007, in a local hospital.
Services for Mrs. Parrish will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Elton Musick and Bro. Jerry Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Parrish was a homemaker, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Melba and Joe Allen, Sr. and Nettie and Charles Mann, Sr., all of Diboll; nine grandchildren, Gloria Wood, Jerry Parrish, Ricky Parrish, Lisa Perry, Connie Allen, Joe Allen, Jr., Neely Powell, Chuck Mann and Clemmie Mann; 18 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; brother, L.C. Rains of Huntington; a number of nieces, nephews and other family members; and a host of friends.
Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her husband, Eule Parrish; and son, TC Parrish.
Pallbearers will be Joe Allen, Jr., Luther Rains, Chuck Mann, Cy Perry, Gaylon Powell and James Wood, Sr. The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Trinity Mission of Diboll and Hospice in the Pines for the loving care shown to Mrs. Parrish.
