Angela (Angie) Williams, 44, of Lufkin, was born January 18, 1963, in Lufkin, Texas, and passed away quietly in her sleep on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at her residence. Angie was a Registered Nurse at Vidor Nursing Home in Port Arthur for 3 years. Earning her RN license enabled her to care for and love people. She loved life and enjoyed the beach. Angie was loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Williams of Diboll; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Wade A. Alexander of Lufkin; grandson, Jace Fountain of Diboll; mother and step-father, Linda and Morgan Black of Diboll; father and step-mother, Roger and Linda Williams of Huntington; sister, Rhonda Courtney of Lufkin; nieces, Brooke and Halie Courtney of Lufkin; and numerous special friends and loved ones. Angie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Ursula Jean Stephens; grandmother, Dura Bartee Johnston; and uncle, Gary Lee Bartee.
Services for Angie will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007, in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Bobby Oberlechner officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Courtney, Wade A. Alexander, Jerry Oliver, Jr., Aaron Jones, Mike McNellis and Randall Logan.
