Graveside services for Jessie Helen Crawford, 92, of Allentown, were held at 3 p.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, Lufkin, with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Ms. Crawford died Aug. 28, 2007, in Houston. She was born Nov. 28, 1914, in Pollok, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Toliver and Mary Katherine Reynolds Tucker.
Jessie Helen and her husband Woodrow W. Crawford were former residents of the Shady Grove Community near Diboll. She was a homemaker and member of the Congregational Methodist Church in Lufkin.
Her parents, her husband, and a granddaughter Cheryl Castaneda preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen E. Lee of Lufkin; sons, Herman Crawford of Lufkin and Gerald W. Crawford of Georgetown; sisters, Frances Fairchild of Burke, Ruby Gruetzner of Palestine and Geraldine Belote of Lufkin; and brother, Paul Tucker of Etoile; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
