Auto thieves strike again

Diboll officers investigate three incidents

On September 4, Diboll Police officers were dispatched to the Chandler and Hamner Street areas in the city, responding to three separate calls concerning auto burglaries.

Officers determined that sometime during the previous night, thieves entered three vehicles, each located at different addresses in the area, and made away with numerous items such as car stereos, speakers, amplifiers and video screens.

Further investigation revealed that a wallet was taken from one of the vehicles. Two of the vehicles were left unlocked while the third showed signs of a forced entry.

If you have any information about this crime, call the Diboll Police Department at 829-5586 or Crime Stoppers at 639-8477. If the information you provide leads to the arrest or grand jury indictment of the person or persons responsible, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Your phone call is confidential and you do not have to leave your name.
