STINGER WALLACE

Feb. 15, 1957 - Sept. 17, 2007

Memorial services for Stinger Wallace, 50, of Hudson were held Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jacqueline Hannan officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home.

Mr. Wallace was born February 15, 1957 in Sumter, South Carolina, to the late Mamie (Radford) and Thomas Hester Wallace, and died Monday, September 17, 2007 in Cherokee County. Mr. Wallace had resided in the Lufkin area for the past 25 years, and retired from the Lufkin Police Department following 23 years of service. Mr. Wallace was a member of the Lufkin RC Modelers Flying Club for many years, and loved restoring classic cars.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Wallace of Hudson; stepfather, Bob Cook of Palacios; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joy and Don Deal of Hudson; brother-in-law, Norman Deal of Lufkin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Butch and Carol Deal of Jacksonville, Florida, Randy and Dawn Deal of Hudson and Jimmy and Kim Deal of Shelbyville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honorary pallbearers were Scott Broughton, Gene Sullivan, Justin Heaton, Sherman Collins, Terry Wise, Harold Cottle, Nathan Mulholland, members of the Lufkin RC Modelers Flying Club, and the employees of the Lufkin Police Department.
