Dana Louise Medford, 41, of Lufkin, was born September 22, 1966, in Houston, Texas. She passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007, following a courageous eleven year battle with brain cancer.
Services for Dana will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Reverend John Spurgeon, Pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Dana was an Administrative Assistant with Temple Forest Products, and was a 1989 graduate of Sam Houston State University. She was a member of Carpenter's Way Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Kathy (Johnston) and Jim Richardson of Etoile; father, Sid Medford of Lufkin; grandparents, Cleo and Irene Johnston of Etoile and Harriet Richardson of Big Spring; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Bethany Medford of Magnolia; brother, Kyle Richardson of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Deidre and Jerry Rials of Conroe; uncles and aunts, Phil and Len Medford and Dennis and Jacqui Johnston, all of Lufkin; uncles, Dick Richardson of Sweetwater and Dean Richardson of Big Spring; and a number of special nieces, cousins, great-aunts and uncles.
Dana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Johnny Frank and Norma Medford and Doug Richardson.
