Graveside services for Robert W. Squyres, 65, of Lufkin were held Friday, September 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Diboll with Brother Garrel Faulkner officiating.
Mr. Squyres was born September 2, 1942 in Lufkin, Texas, to Doris (George) and Sterling Medford Squyres, and died Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at his residence.
Mr. Squyres was a lifetime resident of the Beulah Community in Lufkin. He was a rancher, and was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Druey Stanley of Lufkin; son, Jeff Squyres of Lufkin; granddaughters, Courtney Bearden, Kaley Bearden, Kelsey Bearden and Breanna Lester, all of Lufkin; great-granddaughter, Madison Lumbley of Lufkin; sister, Cindy Maddox of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Hulen and Janie Squyres of Lufkin; nephews, Vance Maddox and Shane Squyres; and niece, Connie Dubose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Medford Squyres; and nephew, Eddy Clark, IV.
Pallbearers were Vance Maddox, Shane Squyres, Cotton George, Mark Dubose, Doug Blake, Butch Maddox, Robert Lyles and Howard Weaver. Memorial contributions may be made to Life Care Hospice, 320 North Street, Suite 311, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961.
