Funeral services for Madeline White, 84, of Diboll, formerly of Bryan, will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ernest Garvin and Brother Rodney Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. White was born March 12, 1923 in Nacogdoches and died Thursday, October 4, 2007. She was the third child born to the union of Levi and Roberta (Smith) Ballinger.
Mrs. White graduated from E. J. Campbell High School in Nacogdoches in June 1942. She was united in marriage to the late Willie J. White on October 23, 1941. To this union was born thirteen children. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her husband and three children.
She is survived by her daughters, Billie Lamb of Diboll, Cherry and husband Roderick Haynes of Killeen, Sandra and husband Jerry dixon of Bryan, Pamala and husband Jimmy Teal of Mesquite, and Cynthia Caldwell of Bryan; sons, Willis White of Huntsville, Adrian White of Lufkin, Stephan White of Houston, Benjamin and wife Marlena White of Manor and Calvin White of Amarillo; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; cousin, Rose Catherine Randall of Berkely, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. White was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Diboll.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Teal, Joseph Warren, Jerry dixon, Kenneth Turner, Terrel Johnson and Roderick Haynes.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home in Lufkin.
