Sport fans that follow and understand football know that there are other parts in a sport machine that do their job; but never get the attention or recognition of the importance of their contributions. Many times all the credit goes to the players that score the points. So in this week, I would like to acknowledge the tremendous contribution the front line has done this year,to continually open up holes so that the backs can find their way into the end zone. I feel sure all the runners know that it's not all their doing alone, but because of the great job the rest of the machine has done.
There are a few in the front line that have been playing and blocking for Stanton since before junior high school. Two of those players are J.R. Youngblood and Chance Johnson.
Needless to say, but our hats off to the entire team for the great season they are having. Being a D.H.S. graduate and former athlete (football and baseball) I'm very proud of this team and the success they are having. Much of that credit needs to go to their Head Coach Gary Martel and his staff for preparing them to execute their assignments. Sport fans- All this results in a 50-point average per game. As Paul Harvey would say "And now for the rest of the story."
