Archie Russell Marks, 82, of Diboll, was born July 1, 1925, in Alto, Texas. He passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007, in a local hospital.
Mr. Marks served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired as a Chief Petty Officer following 25 years of service. He also retired from Temple-Inland following 17 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Marie (Hale) Marks of Diboll. Memorial services for Mr. Marks were held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2007, in the Salvation Army Chapel at 412 S. Third Street, with Captain Hank Harwell officiating.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Gipson Funeral Home.
