Sonic receives new look to usher in 29th year in Diboll

The last day in October marked a new beginning for Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Diboll.

Sonic owners David and Sue Reid of Lufkin look forward to the completion of the construction project scheduled for sometime late November.

The Reid's own three other Sonics in Lufkin, their first which was opened in 1972, second in 1995 and third in 2002.

At the three locations in Lufkin, the remodeling process on the new exterior of the buildings and other upgrades has been completed and at the Diboll location which the Reid's opened in 1978, is now underway by Tri-State Construction

Tri-State's foreman Bobby Kay estimated that with weather permitting, the upgrades should take approximately three to four weeks to complete.

Even though Sonic is undergoing construction at this time, they will continue to provide excellent service throughout all phases of the remodeling process.
